terrain.fade_hillElevation

Default: 0.75

What it does

How fast hills ramp up to full strength once they start. Small = hills snap in over a thin band; big = a soft, spread-out build-up with no sharp hilly zone.

What you see

Small values snap from smooth plains to full hills over a knife-thin band; large values give soft half-strength roughness everywhere instead.

Gotcha

Same zero quirk as fade_plain: 0 switches hills off entirely instead of making the change instant.
